Is There Something in the Air?

by Larry Gust, Gust Environmental

What you don’t see can hurt you. In fact the EPA has listed poor indoor air quality among the most serious problems on its radar screen today. But when was the last time you wondered about the potential threats to your mental and physical health from the more than 25,000 breaths you take each day?

Larry is a Certified Mold Remediator through the Indoor Air Quality Association and is certified by the International Institute for Bau-Biologie and Ecology (IBE) as a Building Biologist. Mr. Gust has been teaching classes about the indoor environment for IBE since 1996.

Larry Gust thinks about air quality all the time as he helps his clients see the typically unseen world of indoor air pollution produced by mold, household chemicals, building materials, paints and finishes, and family living activities. In this thoughtful presentation, Larry will explain how each of the major indoor air pollutants can affect our bodies and minds, and he’ll give you some straightforward advice for cleaning up your personal environment to protect or restore your health.

Larry will cover the critical details for understanding, testing, and improving indoor air quality in your home and office. We can all breathe a little easier when we know:

ü       Why indoor air pollution is a health issue

ü       The most common health issues and symptoms resulting from bad indoor air

ü       The major pollution elements and methods of measurement

ü       Problems associated with pesticide use in the home

ü       Problems associated with fragrances

ü       How to control and clean up mold in buildings

ü       How to compare and choose the right air filtration methods and equipment
