About Larry Gust

Larry Gust is an environmental consultant, electrical engineer, and certified mold remediator, and is certified by the International Institute for Bau-Biologie & Ecology (IBE) as a Building Biologist. For 25 years he worked in management positions in manufacturing, product development, and total quality management at Dow Chemical and then at the Mobil Corporation.

Larry got his start in building biology in 1987 when both he and his wife were made ill by their home and work environments. He has learned the hard way—through personal experience—how critical it is to create home and office environments that support good health. Larry moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1993 and established Healthy Environments Unlimited to provide consulting services for creating healthier indoor environments. In 1997 he relocated to San Diego, California where he lives today.

Today 95% of homes and 60% of offices have one or more environmental pollution problems. Larry’s mission is to help people understand that much can be done to remedy these problems, and then to help them do just that.
